Meet the Advisory Board

Experienced leaders who challenge our thinking,
bring new perspectives and help us make SECONI better.

Jacob Engsig

Advisory Board
LinkedIn

Jacob joins SECONI's Advisory Board after seven years in the executive leadership of Microsoft Denmark, most recently as Chief Operating Officer for Microsoft Denmark and Iceland.

As COO, Jacob sat on Microsoft Denmark's executive board with responsibility for marketing, business development and sales excellence - the commercial engine behind Microsoft's presence in one of its most cloud-mature markets. He joined in 2018 and spent six years leading the Financial Services team, taking Microsoft's technology into an industry where regulation, risk and trust are not afterthoughts but the entire premise of doing business.

SECONI is built end to end on the Microsoft security platform. Jacob has spent seven years inside the organisation that builds it: how it is taken to market, how the partner ecosystem is meant to work, and how Danish enterprises actually make decisions about platform, licensing and risk. That experience brings an important perspective to what we are building at SECONI.

He came to Microsoft from eight years at Tryg, one of the Nordics' largest insurance groups, where he worked his way from Executive Assistant to VP, Head of Corporate Strategy - owning Tryg's corporate strategy across the Nordics with a direct line to the CEO, having previously served as the CEO's Chief of Staff. So before he ever sold to a large regulated Nordic enterprise, he helped run one.

Lars Falch

Advisory Board
LinkedIn

Lars joins SECONI's Advisory Board after a decade as Chief Information Security Officer at Novo Nordisk. He led the company's global cyber and information security organisation, with teams in Denmark, India, the US and Mexico, and sat on the global IT leadership team.

At Novo Nordisk, Lars carried end-to-end responsibility for protecting the information assets of one of the world's largest pharmaceutical companies, across research, manufacturing and a highly regulated global supply chain. His remit covered information security strategy, identity and access management, regulatory compliance, cyber defence and incident response, and he was the voice translating cyber risk into business terms for executive management and the board, including on NIS2.

He is a familiar name in the international security community, having spoken and hosted peer sessions at industry events across the Nordics and beyond.
Before Novo Nordisk, Lars worked at NNIT and Deloitte, building more than twenty years of experience across strategic and operational IT disciplines.

Today, Lars is a Partner at Kopenhagen Konsulting, where he helps organisations build risk-based cybersecurity programmes and set information security direction, and advises and trains boards.

Jens Hammering

Advisory Board
LinkedIn

Jens joins SECONI's Advisory Board with more than twenty years as an entrepreneur behind him.

Since the early 2000s he has founded, run and sat on the boards of Danish technology companies - as owner, chief executive, CTO and board member - including more than two decades with MobilePeople, where he was partner and CEO. There he built the company's IoT business from the ground up: an open sensor platform for collecting and analysing IoT data, developed years before the market caught up with it.

In 2020 that business was sold to the French industrial group Saint-Gobain, platform and engineering team included, and grew into their Danish metering division - a division built to compete for the Danish utility market. Kamstrup later acquired it. Today Jens is Head of Development, IoT Solutions at Kamstrup, leading the engineering organisation behind connected metering products that sit inside water and energy infrastructure across Europe.

Jens knows what it looks like to build and scale a technology business from the inside. How engineering changes as the company grows, where complexity starts to appear, and what needs to be in place before you reach the next level. That perspective is highly relevant to what we are building at SECONI.
